Neo-Kalashnikovs "Drama Queen" Music Video Party
The Neo-Kalashnikovs "Drama Queen" Music Video Party - At Flight 605 Bar
Volita, Gabe and Moss
Bioletti are eagerly awaiting the final master for their
forthcoming rock single "Drama Queen" recorded at Oasis
recording studio in uptown Auckland. But while they may have
been chilling out they haven't been twiddling their thumbs.
Instead they have been hard at work planning a raucous Music
Video release party at Flight 605 Bar at 605 New North Rd
next Tuesday24th at 8pm and great news everyones invited!
The director, editor and cinematographer of the video was The Neo-Kalashnikovs mum Ruth Bioletti an artist, painter and poetry promoter who earlier in the year put on a show at Mercury Theatre. The props for the video shoot specifically flown in from First Scene one shop up from Flight 605 bar included a 1950's film camera, a crystal ball and a mexican sombrero worn by head of UFO records Andrew Maitai. The theme of the music video was loosely based on the glory of aviation exemplified by owner of the bar Gary an airline worker extraordinaire. The video was even lucky enough to boast a last minute special guest appearance by Santa Claus and Samuel L Jackson fresh off the set of Pulp Fiction in card-board cut out form, but boy did he have charisma on the night working the room like a pro.
Jokes at every side the Neos have put in close to a thousand man and woman hours crafting "Drama Queen" a song that emerged from the sub-conscious and unruly mind of lead singer Volita Bioletti's pet chihuahua. The bands indie record company Rocawave will be promoting the video throughout New Zealand hitting every major centre, township and dairy farm thanks to Googles Youtube Plato-form. The Ceo of Rocawave also mentioned something about trying to hit all the main demographics to increase the annual dividend and production quota to lift the Fonterra milk solids pay out but I saw unsure how this related to music sales. Despite this discrepancy Rocawave records chief firmly believed; "if the band can make subtle inroads into the Hamilton bogan music market everyone at HQ will be stoked as! But before we do anything we're just gonna try and soak up as much of the Auckland craft beer market as humanly possible in moderation at Flight 605 enjoy ourselves and watch the video. .
