Ring In National Poetry Day With A Slam!

Celebrate National Poetry Day on August 28th with New Zealand Poetry Slam’s Auckland Regional Slam Heat featuring Courtney Sina Meredith.

The only poetry slam in Auckland on National Poetry Day, this night will be an exciting blend of performance and poetry in which members of the audience decide who wins the competition! Blending personal narratives with passionate performances, poets battle it out to win a spot at the Finals.

Open to the first 12 poets to sign up, the top winners will move into the Auckland Finals this October. Winners of the Auckland Finals win a trip to Hamilton to represent Auckland at the National Slam Finals this November.

The only national adult poetry competition in the country, New Zealand Poetry Slam brings together poets, audience members, and a chance to be crowned New Zealand National Slam Champion.
