Century 21 to host breast cancer fundraiser in Waikato
Century 21 New Zealand is selling tickets to its main fundraiser for Pink October - a Pink Race Day on Melbourne Cup day in the Waikato.
As an official community supporter of The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation’s Pink October, Century 21 has organised a Pink Race Day at the Waipa Racing Club in Te Awamutu on Melbourne Cup day from 4pm, Tuesday 3 November.
“It’s going to be a great day and we’re encouraging Waikato people and even those from further afield to join many of our Century 21 team for an afternoon of fun and fundraising,” says Ian Carter, Century 21’s Head of Franchise Services Australia & New Zealand.
As well as watching the Melbourne Cup on the big screen, there’ll prizes for the best dressed, auction items, raffles and much more, with the day’s profits donated to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.
“This is Century 21 New Zealand’s second year running supporting The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation’s Pink October, and this year we’re hoping to raise over $20,000 as well as plenty of awareness for the cause.
“Our Pink Race Day at the Waipa Racing Club is critical to ensuring we can present a nice big cheque to the Breast Cancer Foundation this year. So we’re hoping Waikato businesses and locals will come along for a great afternoon.
“It makes for an ideal early Christmas event or team building. Instead of just throwing your money away celebrating Melbourne Cup, here’s a great way to also give to a great cause that effects so many New Zealanders and families,” says Mr Carter.
For further information or to purchase the $40 tickets email info@century21.co.nz or call 0800 221 7355. Tickets are also available from Century 21 Te Awamutu, 305 Alexandra Street, Te Awamutu.
In addition to the Pink Race Day, the real estate company has turned its world-famous gold jackets pink for agents to don at auctions and open homes during October. Century 21’s marketing and signage has also changed colour and they’re running social media campaigns to raise awareness around breast cancer.
Century 21’s offices throughout the country have also turned pink with many hosting various pink fundraising events in their local communities, each keen to become Century 21 New Zealand’s top fundraiser for Pink October.
“This year we are also doing a sellers’ pledge which allows Century 21 to run a pink marketing campaign for your property when you list and sell around the month of October,” says Mr Carter.
The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation supports women affected by breast cancer and raises funds for vital cancer research, prevention programs and support services. For more information on The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation please visit www.nzbcf.org.nz
