"End Of Term" World Premiere

“END OF TERM” WORLD PREMIERE HELD AT FIRST NZ WEBFEST IN AUCKLAND

Homegrown Young Adult Sci-Fi/Horror Series Launched After NZ WebFest Screening

WELLINGTON, Monday 9th November 2015 - The inaugural NZ WebFest hosted the world premiere of apocalyptic web series End of Term this weekend in Auckland. The web series is the second one created by award-winning filmmaker Chaz Harris (101 Dates/Broken Glass), with a cast that includes Thomasin McKenzie (Consent: The Louise Nicholas Story/Shortland Street), Jayden Daniels (Shortland Street) and a talented group of other young actors.

In End of Term, a disparate group of High School teens are caught up in a viral outbreak forcing them to confront their differences and band together to survive. Shot in Wellington in October, the series was independently funded and received support from Avalon Studios and Scots College.

Series Creator Harris says, “You’re seeing found-footage glimpses of a much bigger story universe here, one we want to prove audience demand for with the web series. We’ve developed a six-part miniseries following what happens to these characters and a related feature film called Endurance that takes place in the same timeline of events.”

With twelve episodes in total, the first two are available now on YouTube with new episodes to be released on Wednesdays and Sundays until the series finale is revealed on Sunday 13th December 2015. For more information visit: www.endofterm.co.nz
