Unitec hosts PIFT Symposium


Unitec’s Department of Performing and Screen Arts in is proud to be supporting New Zealand's Screen sector by hosting the Pacific Islanders in Film and Television (PIFT) Symposium at the Red Lecture Theatre in Unitec’s Mt Albert campus in Auckland tomorrow, Friday 13th November.

The Symposium will see a gathering of a who's who of filmmaking and moving image from the Pacific community. The full day programme will see them hear about industry initiatives and opportunities, including a presentation by the New Zealand Film Commission, and go through some practical workshops.

10:50am – NZFC Panel with Dale Corlett and Karin Williams
11:30am – Pollywood and Film Fest Opportunities (Craig Fasi and Leo Koziol)
11:40am – New Zealand Writers Guild presentation
11:50am – Lunch provided
12:50pm – NZFC funding workshop
2:20pm – Presentation by Script to Screen
2:30pm – Michael Bennett Writers workshop
