NoFi Rainbow Vol.2; Writing Around Sound journal

MEDIA RELEASE

Dear awesome media people,

We're just about to close up shop for the antipodes summer here at End of the Alphabet Records, but we have one last release to get out the door.

NoFi Rainbow Vol.2 comes out tomorrow, New Zealand time, on 100 c60s. It's flying out the door and our last couple of compilations have sold out very fast. It can be picked up here. You already have all the press about it . . . let us know if you;d like download codes or any further info.

We have also just started distribution for a new New Zealand publication, the Writing Around Sound journal, published out of Christchurch by the Cantabrian Society of Sonic Artists. We're offering issue one of this new journal covering sound and sound practices from New Zealand for the very reasonable price of NZ$8.00. It's seventy pages of cutting edge writing, photography and art from some of New Zealand's most wonderful sound artists, and a very welcome addition to our expanding selection of music related publications. Get it here. (If you're in Christchurch or passing through, it's also available at The Auricle).

As this is our last missive for the year, here's a taster of our confirmed releases for 2016. These are all 7" lathe cut splits between New Zealanders and foreigners, produced by Peter King. We'll have a number of other releases on lathe and cassette coming as well, but for now feast your eyes on these . . .

Witcyst / Lasse Marhaug 7"
Noel Meek / Wolf Eyes 7"
i.ryoko / Alexander Tucker 7"
Alastair Galbraith / Mike and Cara Gangloff 7"
Donald McPherson / Daniel O'Sullivan 7"
Michael Morley / Heather Leigh 7"
Orchestra of Spheres / Bitchin Bajas 7"
Sign of the Hag / Ashtray Navigations 7" (with deluxe artwork)

And finally, 2016 sees a welcome return for End of the Alphabet to Wellington, followed in short order by EotA organised gigs, tours and hopefully a full blown festival towards the end of the year. Stay tuned for more details if you're a New Zealand local. If you're not, look out for some EotA tours and gigs in the US, UK and Europe in 2016 as well. Oh, and we'll have a nice new proper website too.

Thanks heaps for your help and support. We hope you'll stay with us for another year of exploring the weirder edges of music in New Zealand and abroad.

Cheers,
Noel and Olivia
