The NZ Music Foundation launches 2015 Christmas Golden Ticket Appeal
The New Zealand Music
Foundation today launched the latest in their now
traditional Christmas Golden Ticket fundraising and
awareness appeals.
In a draw to be held on Christmas Eve, one person will win The New Zealand Music Foundation Golden Ticket: a double pass to each of theRhythm and Vines, Laneway, Splore, Auckland City Limits and Homegrown music festivals in summer 2015-16. This ultimate summer festival prize package has a value of over $2000.
In addition this year, the charity will also be giving away 2 prize packs of a UE BOOM2 wireless speaker and a 12 CD Festival-In-A-Box valued at over $600, plus a further 3 prizes of an 11 CD Festival-In-A-Box package featuring leading NZ and overseas artists touring the southern hemisphere this summer.
The NZ Music Foundation develops and supports projects around NZ that use music to positively influence the lives of people in need. It also provides caring, confidential and practical support to kiwi music people experiencing illness, distress and hardship. In September the charity provided support for music therapy in hospices, music programmes with at-risk youth and a project that uses music with seriously ill children undergoing hospital treatment that will impact on over 6000 people in need around NZ.
“We’re so grateful to all of
these fantastic summer festivals for supporting us this
Christmas” said NZ Music Foundation general manager
Peter Dickens. “Appeals like this are vital for us to
raise funds and awareness for the work that we do. We
believe passionately in the power of music to make the world
a better place, and to be able to surprise someone on
Christmas morning with a prize like this is a real
joy”.
