Boy & Bear Release New Video Ahead of Their NZ Shows
Boy & Bear Release New Video,‘Limit of Love’ Ahead of Their New Zealand Shows
A few weeks out
from kicking off their NZ leg of the Limit Of
Love album tour,Boy & Bear
have released the new video clip for their latest single -
the title track of their acclaimed, number one debuting
third studio album,
Limit of Love.
With an instant hook and those signature Dave Hosking vocals, the memorable single was recorded live-to-tape in the inspirational surroundings of Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studio with esteemed producer Ethan Johns at the helm (Ryan Adams, Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs). Offering some insight into the song’s meaning, lead vocalist Dave Hosking says, “I've seen lots of friends lose themselves while searching for love. We all need to be loved and when people don't get their fix, it can drive them to do strange things. We liked the idea of looking at love as a drug, something more sinister, something we quite powerfully depend on.”
Joining Bear & Bear for their New Zealand shows will be EDEN MULHOLLAND, who has just released a stunning new video himself- THE NEW OLD FASHIONED, remixed by the Jezabels -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYELZWU9aL4 & our very own troubadour Mister Luke Thompson will also be joining the shows to play some songs for you before he heads off on his next adventure.

Named one of USA Today’s “5 Australian Acts You Need To Know Now,” Boy & Bearsaw huge success worldwide in 2014 with single “Southern Sun” from Harlequin Dream, (Queenstown provided the stunning backdrop for the video) and which the NZ Heraldcalled "a guitar-driven, Tom Petty-esque anthem which should be blasted loud”. The band made their U.S. late night TV debut last summer on CONAN, as well as appeared on NPR’s “World Café With David Dye” and VH1 Big Morning Buzz. In their home country, Harlequin Dream debuted at #1 on the ARIA Top Albums Chart and was certified Platinum.
