Mondiale Aces side to face Central Stags in final Ford Trophy round-robin game
The Mondiale Auckland Aces will keep the same 12
man squad to face the Central Stags at Eden Park Outer Oval
that faced the Wellington Firebirds last Sunday.
Auckland come into the match after getting their Ford Trophy season back on track with a win against Wellington following two losses to Canterbury.
Michael Bates will again lead the side with Rob Nicol still recovering from a knee injury. If Parnell's Ben Horne is selected in the match day XI it will be his first game in any format for the Mondiale Aces. The match will decide who joins an unbeaten Canterbury in the top qualifiers final at Hagley Oval.
Mondiale Aces coach Mark O'Donnell is pleased with how his side has bounced back from consecutive defeats to Canterbury.
“The side knew they weren't up to standard in our two losses against Canterbury. We reflected on that and have had good training sessions around the victory against Wellington.”
"Central Districts present a similar challenge to Canterbury in that they have a very strong batting order and we will have to be on our games to compete properly with them."
A team for tomorrow's game will be named from the following 12 players:
Michael Bates
(Captain) (Suburbs New Lynn)
Michael Barry (Suburbs New
Lynn)
Brad Cachopa (Takapuna)
Mark Chapman
(Parnell)
