The Auckland
Hearts have named a strong squad for the Women's One Day
Final against the Wellington Blaze.
Auckland come into the match as top qualifiers and defending champions. The Hearts squad is one that balances a lot of experience with exciting young talent.
The Hearts will be led by Victoria Lind with Katie Perkins as vice captain.
Auckland Hearts coach Elfriede Chooi believes her side are well up for the match.
“We are lucky in that the squad has such recent finals experience. Having that understanding of what it's like to play in knock out matches is hugely important.”
"The Wellington Blaze are a powerful side and we will have to execute our plans well to deal with the threats they pose. We have prepared with that in mind this week and the entire side are well aware of what they need to do."
