Hungover – A Musical Comedy

“Why the shots? Why?”

What can you remember from last night? For cataclysmically hungover Tom, Lauren, and Will, it’s not much. After an epic night, the three friends attempt to piece together the night before and navigate their own love lives - all through the haze of a hangover. And when Tom’s girlfriend Rachel arrives with big news, he is confronted with a choice that doesn’t just affect him.

Producer Kit Haines (Benedict Cumberbatch Must Die) says Hungover has wide appeal.“This is a story that will resonate with anyone who has ever been drunk or in love, or both.” Hungover is an exciting new form of jukebox musical filled with comedy and featuring songs from artists ranging from Carole King to Britney Spears.

Hungover was conceived by Naomi Cohen, a graduate of both NASDA (2012) and The Actor’s Program (2013) She is a regular cabaret performer having performed at Hotspot Cabaret and Short+Sweet Cabaret, where she took home Best Performer, Judges Choice and People’s Choice.

Directed by award winning director, Hamish McGregor (Avenue Q) and musically directed by Andy Manning (Twisted), Hungover features an ensemble of talented performers led by Naomi Cohen (Lysistrata), along with Last Tapes Theatre Company co-founder and director, Cherie Moore (The Tempest, Shortland Street) The show also stars actor, director and theatre critic Matt Baker (Lion King Australia) and newcomer and fellow NASDA graduate Zak Enayat (The Importance of being Earnest).
