EPs from T.A.B and yeongrak!
We're very proud to announce the release of two EPs from two young and fascinating New Zealand artists: "Boats and Trailers" from T.A.B and "brainsoutclock" from yeongrak. These guys are making big waves in New Zealand and making names for themselves overseas as well (we're hoping to help with that part).
T.A.B are the party boys for discerning music lovers in New Zealand. Chris Wratt (drums) and Jos van Beek (gameboy and vocals) have been racking up oodles of miles under their tires, touring up and down the country, playing festivals and gigs all over and blowing away live audiences wherever they go with their hiNRG mix of post-punk, free-jazz and chiptunes. After featuring last year on our second NZ compilation, NoFi Rainbow Vol. 2, this is T.A.B's debut physical release and it's available as download and an edition of 50 c20 cassette tapes. Check them out here.
yeongrak lives in a very different world to Chris and Jos - inhabiting interstices of the internet we'd never head of before someone chucked his music in front of us (also for last year's NoFi compilation). We sat down with young yeongrak after Christmas last year and discovered an artist inhabiting entirely an online world of bent and broken dance music, youtube K-Pop covers and multilayered manga inspired artwork. We also discovered that, until we approached him, he'd never heard of experimental music from New Zealand! Well, we're helping put that right and he's off on his way to his first live gigs very soon (check him out at The Auricle if you're in Christchurch, and other NZ centres soon). yeongrak's been stirring up quite a kerfuffle round these parts and this is his first New Zealand physical release (after a number on US labels) - if you've not heard him, check him out - and pick up his EP, also coming out as 50 c20 cassettes.

2016 is definitely our busiest year yet, with piles of new releases on cassette and lathe on the way (if you're interested in the 7" series, get on to it quick, a number are nearly sold out on pre-order), plus touring and other sound-related projects for your humble label-workers. If you happen in be in LA, the UK or Norway, check out my own "Extremophilic Folk" tour details for the end of April here.
As ever, pre-orders are available through our bandcamp or my emailing us directly at this email address.
Thanks heaps for the support and enjoy the music!
