Chosen Ones in 12-hr battle with Zombies for charity
Specially chosen volunteers will tonight do battle with Zombies in a 12-hour marathon to raise funds and awareness for CanTeen.
The Dusk to Dawn Zombie Survival Challenge, which has already raised around $10,000 for the charity, gets underway tonight at 6pm at the ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane, Auckland.
The brainchild of Whanganui teenage cancer survivor Shelley Trodd, the Dusk to Dawn Zombie Survival Challenge will see Shelley and 8 especially chosen volunteers battling Zombies in a challenging darkened indoor arena, specifically created for the Royal Easter Show (the show opens to the public at 10am tomorrow).
Media are invited to meet Shelley and her fellow Zombie-battlers prior to the start of their 12-hour ordeal and at its conclusion tomorrow morning.
