Autumn Trotting Carnival set to kick off

Alexandra Park is set to host some of New Zealand’s best harness racing action at its premier Autumn Trotting Carnival over the next two Friday nights -22 and 29 April.

The carnival will showcase 20 races including seven Group One races over the two evenings, including the Anzac Cup, Taylor Mile and Caduceus Club 2YO Fillies Classic tomorrow night.

“We’re very excited about the sheer quality of racing set to play out under the lights here at Alexandra Park. It’s such a magical place when the sun goes down and the lights come on. People love the intimate nature of the course as well as the great hospitality on offer,” says Alexandra Park chief executive Dominique Dowding

Dining packages for Friday 29th are still available for the Tasman Room’s much talked-about and very generous carvery at only $50 per person. While Top of the Park’s premium buffet packages have completely sold out.

“We’re getting rave reviews about our food and people always have such a great night. Both the Tasman Room and Top of the Park are prime viewing spots with floor to ceiling glass windows which offer a great vantage point of the winning post,” says Ms Dowding.

General admission for the public into Alexandra Park as well as parking remain free on both evenings, and race-books are also complimentary. The first of the 10 races on tomorrow night’s card is set down for 6.02pm with the last at10.37pm.
