2016 Raglan Arts Film Festival Awards Seeks Nominations
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

2016 Raglan Arts Film Festival Awards Seeks Nominations

The red carpet beckons for local filmmakers and actors! The ever-popular Raglan Film Festival returns to town in September and nominations are now open for the 2016 Raglan Arts Film Festival Awards (RAFFAs).

Established in 2009, these awards celebrate the achievements and talents of local filmmakers and actors. Nominations can be for movies of any length and genre, provided they have a link with the Raglan Whaingaroa region; either the filmmakers or actors must be associated with the area, or part of the film must have been shot or edited in Raglan.

Awards will be presented for Best Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Director/Producer and Best Picture. Achievements in two open categories will also be recognized. The awards - which include a cash prize pool - will be presented at a special Red Carpet evening held at the Old School Arts Centre.

To make a nomination, download an application form at www.raglanartscentre.co.nz/rff or call into the Old School Arts Centre in Stewart Street. Phone 07 825 0023 or email info@raglanartscentre.co.nz for more details. Deadline for nominations is Wednesday 27 July.

And keep your eyes peeled for full details of the 2016 Raglan Film Festival, which will be announced in coming weeks.
