Just Atelier Trust, Creative NZ And Vogel Street Party

Just Atelier is pleased to announce it has received funding through the DCC and the Creative Communities Scheme, to help raise the bar on their annual celebration of locally designed and made fashion at the Vogel Street Party on October 8th.

The funding of $3277 will be used to enhance the production of this unique free fashion showcase and allow independent and emerging designers the opportunity to present their work to the public and gain valuable experience for wider promotion of their interpretations of fashion.

We are excited by this opportunity to show ‘Dunedin Style’ as diverse and innovative, to highlight how fashion is something that isn’t just for the few people of particular proportions, age, taste and lifestyle. Everyone wears clothing, and we all deserve the chance to express ourselves through that medium.

This will be Just Atelier’s third showcase in association with the Vogel Street Party, which will be built around the theme of ‘Connections’.

We welcome interest for more information in participating; from clothing or accessory designers, to budding makeup artists and event planners, to get in touch.

Just Atelier will also be running their monthly community sewing workshop: MEND and MAKE AWESOME. This will be open for Vogel Street Party visitors to benefit from practical expertise and resources to mend their own clothes, or work on any sewing project.
