TV3 Gets Biggest Overnight Share for the Week Since 2013, And the Block NZ Open Homes a Great Success

Last week (Sunday 31 July – Saturday 6 August) saw the biggest overnight weekly share for TV3 since November 2013. The share of 24.4% marks a year to date high: Based on consolidated performance, it was the first time for the year to date that TV3 have outperformed all other channels in 25-54, including SKY Network.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights were all wins for TV3 in its target demographic of viewers aged 25-54.

Wednesday night also saw TV3 gain the highest audiences in key demographics 18-39, 18-49 and Household Shoppers with Kids, with strong performances from Newshub Live at 6pm, The Block NZ: Girls vs Boys and Chicago Med.

TV3’s comedy line-up on Friday night continues its success, with the highest audiences in all four key demographics (25-54, 18-39, 18-49 and Household Shoppers with Kids) for Jono and Ben, The Graham Norton Show and 7 Days.

Sunday night saw The Block NZ: Girls vs Boys continue its strong performance, winning its timeslots in all four key commercial demographics andattracting the highest audience in its target demographic of viewers aged 25-54, as well as 18-39, 18-49 and Household Shoppers with Kids.

The open homes for the four houses of The Block NZ: Girls vs Boys took place in Meadowbank, Auckland on Saturday. Over 5000 members of the public showed up to meet the contestants and take a look at this season’s houses.
