Millar and Pou-Tito Take Out Higher Seedings at NZ Senior Nationals

Zac Millar and Sacha Pou-Tito have upset their higher seeded opponents in the second round of the New Zealand Senior Nationals to continue with the upsets from Round 1.

In the Women’s Open Sacha Pou-Tito played 6th seed Rebecca Barnett and there were some fierce rallies between these two. Pou-Tito however was able to dominate the court and the volley making Barnett do all the running and eventually Pou-Tito closed the game out in four.

In the Men’s Open 9th seed Zac Millar was able to upset fellow Waikato teammate Chris Lloyd and 8th seed of the tournament in a strong 3. Jo Williams upset from taking out Kashif Shuja in the first round was not to continue going down in 4 to Michael Sunderland.
