eSports is bringing competitive gaming to New Zealand with
the New Zealand Gaming Championships (NZGC) League of
Legends Premiership 2016 in association with Logitech and
Twitch.
From September 3rd eSports fans can follow their favourite players and teams in a six-team, six-week tournament that culminates in a live Grand Final spectacular at MOTAT’s Idea Collective onWednesday October 12th.
2015 Champions ‘Villains’ will take on five new qualifying teams – Decode, Tiger Eye, 2EZ Gaming, Team D.N.A., and King V – with the winning team heading on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure to the League of Legends World Finals in Los Angeles.

Round-robin and playoff matches take place weekly online at www.letsplay.liveand www.twitch.tv/letsplaylive on Saturday and Sunday nights from 7pmstarting September 3rd.
Then from Wednesday September 7th, coverage moves up a notch as the NZGC goes live in HD on Sky Sport 3 every week from 7pm.
Players will be flown from around the country to Auckland each week to face each other in the Hexedome - NZ’s first purpose-built eSports Arena. Each match is a best of three games with expert analysts and shoutcasters (commentators) educating and entertaining viewers in the fast-moving, high-energy world that is competitive gaming.
Letsplay.live breaks even more new ground when all roads lead to the live NZGC Grand Final event on October 12that The Idea Collective at MOTAT in Auckland. This is the chance for eSports fans to experience the magic in person with limited ticket sales available later this month.
