For immediate release

Miss Universe New Zealand 2016 to air internationally, with 3Now, Stuff, YouTube, Lucire taking the feed

Auckland, September 1 (JY&A Media) This year’s Miss Universe New Zealand Grand Final will be streamed live, as in previous years, but will also appear on 3Now, YouTube, Lucire, Stuff, and its own home page atwww.nextmissnz.com. The live feed, from Saturday, September 3, at 7.30 p.m. NZST (0730 GMT, 0430 US EDT) from Skycity Theatre will be embeddable via YouTube.

Special guests include Stan Walker, Frankie Stevens, Ali Harper, and the cast of Oh What a Night!, and the audience will find out just who out of the Top 20 finalists will be crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2016.

While New Zealand-based, Miss Universe New Zealand has an international following, thanks in part to its readiness to embrace streaming technology, and because of its four international retreats to Thailand and the Philippines, where all 20 finalists get a taste of what it’s like to represent their country overseas.

The competition is also more interactive than many: as well as relying on a celebrity judging panel that includes Mr Stevens, along with Anna Jobsz, Samala Robinson, Areena Deshpande and Evana Patterson, 50 per cent of the vote is decided by members of the public. This voting will carry on into the second half of the Grand Final.

Additional media are invited to take up the stream at https://www.youtube.com/c/MissUniverseNewZealand/live, and the direct embed code is as follows:
