(installation view), Space to Dream: Recent Art
from
South America 2015, Auckland Art Gallery Toi o
Tāmaki
The celebrated exhibition Space to Dream: Recent Art from South America closes next Sunday 18 September at Auckland Art Gallery.
The next 10 days offer the final moments to visit the exhibition, which honours the art, cultures and recent histories of different South American countries.
Art critics, families and Gallery visitors from near and far alike have applauded the multi-sensory exhibition for its challenging nature, its ability to engage and for how bright, colourful and stimulating it is.
A favourite artwork has been the Ernesto Neto, Just like drops in time, nothing (2002), above, which fills the olfactory senses with smells from more than 180kgs of spices.
Before the exhibition closes, Auckland Art Gallery will hold one last special themed weekend of events. This Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September will be full of dance, poetry, talks and film celebrating the poetic nature of the exhibition.
For downloadable high-res installation images of the exhibition visit our online media kit.
