brilliant debut album captures a talent in its first,
thrilling bloom’

‘Jacklin approaches the art of the song with a few essential tools: a subtly played electric guitar, a breathtakingly precise voice… and an innate skill at channelling emotion through sparse, loaded lyrics.’ – LA Times
On the heels of the release of her smoking hot debut record Don’t Let The Kids Win, Laneway Festival is pleased to announce that Julia Jacklin will be heading to New Zealand for a show at Golden Dawn on December 8, ahead of her appearance at Laneway Festival 2017.
Don’t Let The Kids Win has been drawing the attention of tastemakers around the globe in the best possible way, and while she’s Australian, her ‘made in Lyttelton’ album and support dates with Kiwi fave Marlon Williams mean we feel like she’s a part of the family.
Julia + band are currently in the middle of a huge global tour that includes performances at some of the world’s major festivals including the UK’s End Of The Road and Electric Picnic. She’s also sharing stages with buzz acts, Marlon Williams and Whitney, plus playing headline shows in London, Dublin, Berlin, Rotterdam, NYC and LA just to name a few. 2016 has already seen Julia acquire praise from performances at SXSW and The Great Escape, which projected her onto the world stage and lead to international record deals with Liberation, Transgressive and Polyvinyl Records.
