Kiwi Music Film Fest at the
Archive
11 January
to 24 February
You may be back at work, but in the evenings you can trip back to the hippie fests of the 1970s, the dance parties of the 1990s, the music videos we loved, and the great pop, rock and reggae stories of New Zealand.
A summer of Kiwi music movies and documentaries is on screen at Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision’s Archive Cinema from 11 January to 24 February.
There is something for all, says Outreach & Engagement Group Manager Diane Pivac – “From the 2016 documentary Poi E – The Story of Our Song, the 2010 story of Wellington’s Trinity Roots, to feature films such as 1986’s Queen City Rocker and 1966’s Don’t Let It Get You.”
Screening at Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision’s Archive Cinema – 84 Taranaki St, Wellington, 11 January to 24 February. See www.ngataonga.org.nz/events for the full programme details or to buy tickets.
