Don't Wait - It Will Be Too Late

Organisers of the 2017 Bluff Oyster & Food Festival, scheduled for the port town of Bluff on Saturday 20 May, are advising those planning to attend to get their tickets - quickly!

Sales for this year's event have been very strong and all outlets are reporting their stocks are running low with more than two months until the event.

Tickets are available from Ticket Direct either at their outlets or via 0800 224 224, or from Barnes Wild Bluff Oysters in Spey Street, Invercargill, Foveaux Dairy in Gore Street, Bluff and Dough Sea Dough in McNulty Road Cromwell and every outlet is reporting that they will run out of tickets long before the gates open.

"The ticket sales have been good, very, very good," said Festival Chairman John Edminstin today. "There will definitely be no gate sales this year - none at all. All the tickets are well on track to be sold out before the big day."

Those lucky enough to attend this year's event at the Oyster Festival site in Lee Street, Bluff will be able to enjoy the delectable Bluff Oyster along with other succulent southern seafood plus other tasty food offerings and fine beverages plus plenty of musical entertainment and the traditional Oyster Opening and Eating races.

The entertainment gets underway at 11am after the gates open at 10.30am with the traditional Piping In Of The Oyster, the Ode and official welcome.

Tickets cost just $30 while children 14 and under accompanied by an adult are $10.
