Full Comedy Festival programme out now - all tickets on sale
COMEDY FEST CREATES MEDIA RELEASE TO ANNOUNCE ALL OF THEIR 2017 SHOWS GOING ON SALE:
We are more than averagely excited to announce our full contingent of greater than awesome shows assembled for the 2017 NZ International Comedy Festival powered by Flick Electric Co.
There are 117 comedy shows in Auckland and 68 comedy shows in Wellington.
It is time to plan what you want to see this year and start booking it into the calendar now. Let’s face it we all have good intentions of how many shows we are going to go to, and then see half that number. So, if you actually just lock in what you like the look of now, you will remove your hindsight conversations of “I meant to see lots more…”. Finally put together a list that you can tick off.
From big-stage showcases to give you a taste of the comedians in the Festival, to the satisfying narrative of a comedian’s hour-long solo show, you can see storytelling, stand up, sketch, comedy + magic combined. There is also comedy that is not only appropriate, but humorous for primary school kids that as parents you will be able stand. No earworm repetitive musical numbers here.
Insert a cliché line here to describe how “There’s something for everyone”.
If you are in front of a device that connects to the internet thencomedyfestival.co.nz is the place to go, make sure you pick which location you would like to see shows in: Auckland, Wellington or Rest of NZ (options are at the top of the homepage). If you are out in the world looking up and want to look down at a more tactile printed hand-held document then find yourself aFree A4 Comedy Fest Guide in blue or yellow.
Another reminder that the biggest night of comedy and our official opening show, the Flick Electric Co. Comedy Gala hosted by Urzila Carlson is happening this year in Auckland, Wellington and for the first-time in Christchurch.
Want a free Uber ride (even if you are already a Uber customer), delicious dinner deals from Fed Deli (Auckland), Library Bar (Wellington) or Casa Publica (Christchurch), access to the Flick Welcome Lounge with drinks and nibbles and lots of other great treats? You should look at becoming a Flick VIP at Comedy Fest. You can find out more at our website. We would highly recommend them, not just because they sponsor us; they’re the only Consumer Trusted power company in the country, and this past year, Flick customers saved an average $489. They also won’t sign you up to a fixed-term contract, so they back themselves that you’ll want to stay, rather than locking you in.
2017 Comedy Fest dates: 27 April – 21 May
