Cereal Killa Creates New Zealand Music Month Killashakes

CEREAL KILLA CREATES NEW ZEALAND MUSIC MONTH KILLASHAKES

In keeping with New Zealand Music Month 2017’s theme of ‘Find Your New Favourite Local Band’, Auckland’s famed Cereal Killa Cafe is getting behind this years' Music Month by creating three shakes for three of Kiwi music's newest, brightest - and sweetest – stars.

Throughout the month of May, the Cereal Killa menu will include the shakes inspired by electro-pop princess Theia, soul sensation Teeks and singer-songwriter Miller Yule.

"We've tried to keep our Music Month Killashakes very distinct in look and taste," says Colin Webb from Cereal Killa. "We wanted a more personalised touch that displayed the artist's creative side and personality."

Theia's song 'Roam' was one of the biggest break-out hits by a Kiwi artist in 2016, soaring up Spotify's viral charts across the globe. The Christchurch-born artist followed it up wth the glittering anthem 'Champagne Supernova' and the just-released feel-good tune 'Treat You'. Theia's birthday cake ice-cream and caramel flavoured shake, decorated in pearls, reflects her colourful personality as well as her edgy and ethereal sound. Hailing from Northland and tipped as New Zealand's next big voice, Teeks is about to make his mark on the Kiwi music scene with his debut single 'If Only' out on May 26. It sets the scene for the June 23 release of highly-anticipated debut EP THE GRAPEFRUIT SKIES. Teeks' caramello flavoured shake is inspired by his velvety, soulful voice. Having supported the likes of Ben Harper, Auckland-based Miller Yule is a young Kiwi artist to watch. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist and performer, Miller's debut EP SHOOT ME IN THE HEART came in at #4 in the NZ Album Chart in 2016. Miller is currently recording new tracks for his follow up EP. Miller's white chocolate and passion fruit shake is a nod to the singer-songwriter's cool and laid-back vibe. "As a small business in New Zealand, we are privileged to be able to share our sweet creations with New Zealand Music Month and to endorse amazing and emerging talent in the Kiwi music industry," says Colin. Now that's sweet!
