The Coffee Club Set to Bake up a Storm

The Coffee Club Set to Bake up a Storm for SPCA Cupcake Day

The Coffee Club New Zealand is the official sponsor of SPCA Cupcake Day for the second year in a row. SPCA Cupcake Day, which is in its tenth year, will officially take place on Monday 6 August. However, The Coffee Club will be fundraising for an entire week to help animals in need.

From 30 July until 6 August, Kiwis can help the SPCA care for more than 45,000 abused, neglected animals, injured and abandoned animals by purchasing specially made cupcakes in The Coffee Club cafes across the North and South Islands.

The Coffee Club will be selling colourful animal-themed cupcakes with all money going to the SPCA. The aim is to crack the $30,000 that The Coffee Club raised last year and to help the SPCA hit their $320,000 target.

“We’re very proud to be supporting SPCA Cupcake Day again,” says Andy Lucas, Director of The Coffee Club. “We’re huge animal lovers and know that a lot of our customers are as well. It means a lot to be able to help vulnerable animals across New Zealand. Buying a cupcake is an easy way for our customers to join in and help a great cause while enjoying a sweet treat at the same time.”

SPCA CEO, Andrea Midgen welcomes the support for the event, and encourages everyone to get involved. “With the help of The Coffee Club and its customers, the SPCA will be able to provide vital care to neglected animals across New Zealand. As well as saving lives, the money from cupcake sales will be used to care for the animals in our shelters as they wait to find their forever home.”
