comedy ad
A new comedy video ad addresses worries that people face when trying to use te reo Māori.
More than half a million people have already seen the ad online and it's playing on Māori TV and TVNZ as well.
The Māori Language Commission ad features renowned multicultural Kiwi comedy trio Frickin Dangerous Bro, attempting to make a television commercial for Māori Language Week.
Chief Executive Ngahiwi Apanui says the
key message is don't be shy, give it a try and learn a
little, use a little every day.
“No one should be afraid to give our national language a go”.
