Press Release for Immediate Release – Monday 19 November 2018

FLOAT and NZ Bomb Comp Announced for 2019

19 November 2018 – New Zealand’s only floating music festival is returning for 2019 with a new name, but the same good vibes and unicorn floats. FLOAT is heading to Lake Tikitapu, Rotorua’s Blue Lake on Saturday 16 February.

FLOAT is alcohol-free and open to all ages. Festival goers are in for a fantastic line up with homegrown artists Drax Project, Mitch James, Jupiter Project, Sachi, Balu Brigada and special guest Stan Walker.

Pack your floaties, sunscreen and shades, and get ready for a fantastic day on the water thanks to Tip Top Trumpet, another Kiwi favourite that has been saluting summer since summer began. They’ll be keeping the crowds cool with one of New Zealand’s top sweet treats.

ZM Content Director Ross Flahive says his team is excited to bring FLOAT to Rotorua. “It’s going to be an awesome summer event, with some great acts. 2018 saw over 5000 people get their best lilos and floaties out , and Kiwis from all over the country came for an awesome party.”

As always, FLOAT goes hand in hand with NZ Bomb Comp. Brought to you by Flava and Tip Top Trumpet, the competition runs from February 14-17.

The bomb tower will be open for casual jumps the afternoons of Thursday 14, Friday 15 and Sunday 17 February before NZ Bomb Competition on Sunday afternoon. The day is a steam at $5 for 5 of your best tries! Registrations are open now for the NZ Bomb Competition on Sunday afternoon with entries starting from $15. Competition entry gives access to the competition on Sunday afternoon and practice jumps all other days. Visit flava.co.nz for all the details.
