Wellington five-piece Anxiety Club are hitting the road for a three-date nationwide tour in support of their recently released debut EP, BLACK HEART.

In their first ever nationwide tour, Anxiety Club will play Galatos in Auckland on Saturday, March 16; Meow in Wellington on Saturday, March 23 and Blue Smoke in Christchurch on Friday, March 29.

Tickets available now from Under the Radar

With a penchant for feel-good anthems of heartbreak and despair, Anxiety Club have been making a name for themselves since emerging on the Kiwi music scene in 2016 with Kev Fitzsimons at the helm.

The band bonded over a common love for alt-country, adding their own unique twist of indie alt-pop pop and grunge, with electronic influences. They made their mark with the singles ‘Be Still’ and ‘I Don’t Want Anyone (But You)’, alongside a series of triumphant shows, including their sold-out debut at The Wine Cellar in Auckland. They’ve also chalked up acclaimed performances at numerous New Zealand festivals and events, from Coastella and New Plymouth’s TSB Festival of Lights, to playing at Gardens Magic in Wellington.

Late last year, Anxiety Club continued their winning streak with the release of their first studio-recorded EP BLACK HEART.

BLACK HEART... is a beautiful EP and does a wonderful job of getting the listener to think and understand what could possibly be going through in their own lives, it truly is incredible… Go and see Anxiety Club live if you can, I can only imagine how amazing it would be to hear any one of these songs live” - www.musicnet.nz

This month, Anxiety Club premiered their new single ‘Ginger in the Summer’ on RNZ. Proceeds from the song are being donated to the Cancer Society of New Zealand and it is currently only available as a download at the band’s website HERE and on Bandcamp and iTunes. It will be available on streaming platforms in the coming weeks.

The band is excited to be on tour and is also looking forward to playing some new songs for fans.

“We can’t wait to hit the road and play songs from BLACK HEART, plus some new songs. We’re stoked to be returning to Auckland where we played a banger of a show last year. Also, this will be our first-ever South Island date,” says lead singer Kev Fitzsimons.

Don’t miss Anxiety Club and their unique blend of indie-Americana live this March!
