Kyle Lionhart Announces Debut New Zealand Show This March

Australian neo-folk singer-songwriter Kyle Lionhart has announced his first ever show in New Zealand this March.

Hailing from Byron Bay, Kyle Lionhart was a standout busker on the streets of the surf town, and quickly built his reputation from playing on the pathways to playing alongside some of the best at Bluesfest and Splendour in the Grass.

Although a relatively new name to some, Kyle has gained a legion of loyal fans since the release of his independently released debut EP Keep In Mind in mid-2015. He has since since sold over 6000 copies and seen over 3 million plays of lead single ‘Sleep By Rivers’ on Spotify alone.

2017 saw the release of mini album Eleven & Two. Produced by John Castle (Vance Joy, Washington, Cub Sport), this latest release of 7 tracks is filled with soaring indie-soul meets folk ballads about self-reflection. Of the record Kyle says:

“It’s about avoiding that darker side of yourself, the side of ourselves that we consistently distract and sedate only for it to explode at the worst possible moments”

Ahead of the release of his debut album in late 2019, Kyle is holding his first NZ show in Auckland following a strong demand by local fans. An undeniable talent, Kyle Lionhart is destined to become your favourite new artist of 2019.

Tickets are on sale now through undertheradar.co.nz.
