Artists Band Together For Christchurch
In response to the devastating events in Christchurch on Friday 15 March, we put a call out to our arts community to let us know about any initiatives to support the community directly impacted by the Christchurch terror attack. Artists have mobilised, and are redirecting funds, organising charity drives, and gifting their time in support.
In the coming weeks, we will be sending regular updates of the events and initiatives led by the arts community to proactively support all those affected.
This week, we have:

Collaborating with barbershop My Fathers Barbers in a drive organised by Sarah Clare Brown and Sarah Ioannou, this on-the-ground team in Christchurch are accepting donations, and taking them directly to the families who are flying in from around the world to support their loved ones. Bec and the team at My Fathers Barbers are acting as a point of communication for people wanting to donate practical items to support the families.
The current call is for grocery vouchers, petrol vouchers and prepaid pressie cards. Please give generously, and stay tuned to the My Fathers Barbers Facebook page for live updates of what is needed.
