Free School Holiday Fun At SkyCity This July

Keep your eye out for FREE events for kids amongst our special school holiday offers at SkyCity this July.

From walks on the SkyWalk, Wētā Workshop’s special ‘Collectibles Unleashed’ event, to ‘Kids Go Free Mondays’ at the All Blacks Experience, there are many exciting options for parents and caregivers these school holidays, including 20% off all online family passes to the Sky Tower.

Wētā is launching its Collectibles Unleashed in the Wētā Cave on Saturday 22nd – 24th July, that will see collectible reveals, artist demonstrations and hands-on FX workshops, as well as a panel and Q&A with Sir Richard Taylor, celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings.

Enjoy a tour and go behind the scenes at the All Blacks Experience to hear from the players and put your skills to the test in the fully interactive Step Up Zone - one free child (aged 5-14 years) with every adult ticket sold on both Mondays of the holidays. You can get 20% off family passes.

In addition, budding young rugby stars can take their skills to the next level with former All Black, Nathan Harris. Go behind the scenes with Nathan on an exclusive Player Tour of All Blacks Experience before heading into a 2 hour technical and tactical session. This is perfect for kids aged 5-15 with basic ball skills an advantage. Tickets cost $45 per child and will be on sale shortly.

You could also win one of five epic prize packs if you head up the Sky Tower between the 9th and 24th of July. There’s plenty to do, including an arcade game, activity stations, Aviation Station, and the incredible 360° views. Lord of The Rings Event

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Lord of The Rings, we’re hosting a very special live panel and Q&A. Join Sir Richard Taylor, Daniel Falconer and a cohort of Wētā Workshop artists as they discuss the concepts, costumes and weaponry that helped bring Tolkien’s Middle-earth to life on the big screen.

Parking

Visit the Sky Tower, Wētā Workshop Unleashed, All Blacks Experience, the SkyJump or SkyWalk for School Holidays during 8 - 24 July and be eligible for $12 parking during your visit (8am - 8pm). Please note, parking tickets must be validated at the Sky Tower ticketing area to obtain the $12 day rate.
