Foodie Event Of The Year Returns - The Christchurch Food Show

As we hunker down during the winter months, food and drink takes on even more importance and if you are looking for ideas of what to serve in your own kitchen - The Food Show returns to the Garden City this August 19 – 21st at Christchurch Arena and the team can’t wait to serve up a plate of inspiration, education and temptation!

Come ready to stock the pantry and try things you’d never even imagined existed from the 110 exhibitors heading to the show. From delicious chocolates, cheeses, ice-cream, wagyu, dried fruits, chutneys, vegetables and wines, cookware, knife sharpeners, curry sauces and gin….to name a few! This will be a show particularly full of delicious treats from local artisans as well as morsels from foodies from all over the country.

The melting pot of New Zealand’s cooking talent will be on display in the NEFF Cooking Theatre and in addition to household names like Annabelle White and Michael Van de Elzen, you can pick up cooking tips from local legends such as Jax Hamilton, Simon Levy owner of INATI and Flip Grater from Grater Goods. Michael Dearth, judge on MasterChef NZ, will also be presenting on Saturday.

The Wine and Cheese Masterclass brought to you by Villa Maria returns to take your taste buds on a journey with delicious Villa Maria wines matched with equally delicious Barrys Bay cheeses - at just $15 a ticket, its limited seating so get in quick because it will fill up fast. And a new feature is coming to tempt those with a weakness for gin – for a $25 ticket you can have access to a 45min guided gin tasting with the Juniper Collective at The Gin Garden. Showcasing five gins in a lovely garden setting at The Christchurch Food Show. Limited to 20 seats per session.
