Tertiary Attendance Statistics
At 31 July 1999 there were 253,773 formal students attending post-secondary educational institutions in New Zealand. This is an increase of 1.1% since July 1998.
Eighty-seven percent of all formal post-secondary students were attending public tertiary institutions, while the remaining thirteen percent were attending private training establishments.
