Nominations Open for Amcham Business Education Fellowship

Leading business educators from tertiary institutions and the corporate sector are invited to apply for the American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) in New Zealand 2002-2003 Business Education Fellowship.

The Fellowship aims to foster and encourage excellence and innovation in business and commercial education as well as contribute to improving best practice and partnerships between the education and commercial sectors.

Sponsored by Cambridge Consulting Services Ltd, the executive recruitment and business-consulting arm of The Cambridge Group, in association with Amcham and United Airlines, the Fellowship, valued at $10,000, provides two weeks study in the United States visiting designated universities, business schools and leading corporates which have set a benchmark for ongoing education and training. There will also be an opportunity to visit the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington.

"We're seeking a candidate who has proven leadership qualities, communication skills and an ability to work with educators and business leaders to improve business education in New Zealand through curriculum development and executive education to benefit global competitiveness as well as spur growth within key sectors," said Amcham's Executive Director, Mike Hearn.

"The winner will be expected to provide the American Chamber of Commerce with a comprehensive report of their findings which will be made available to government and the education and business sectors."
