Latest in 3-D technology for Life Education

Youngsters throughout New Zealand are likely to experience the latest in 3-dimensional technology applied to Life Education programmes from 2004, thanks to a three-year support programme from New Zealand's largest juice company, Frucor and its brand, 'Just Juice'.

Life Education Trust, with Harold the Giraffe as its mascot, delivers positive health-based programmes to a quarter of a million primary school-aged children each year.

Life Education Trust chief executive, Tim Rogerson, said the specially-developed 3-D programmes would gradually be phased into the Trust's 36 mobile classrooms from 2004, along with other enhancements made possible by development monies donated by Lion Foundation and Pub Charities.

"Our programmes have great recall already, but we want children to have an exciting Life Education experience - one that measures up to the excitement that they see at the movies and the latest technology they experience in computer games.

Mark Cowsill, Frucor's Managing Director, said Frucor was keen to be involved with Life Education and the implementation of leading 3-D technology in the mobile classrooms.

"All children are special and the new 3-D programmes will delight young minds while demonstrating the magnificence of the human body, the special qualities children have, and also build their self esteem and respect for others."

Mr Cowsill said Frcor's association with Life Education would strengthen the company's community programme which includes a longstanding involvement with World Vision and its '40-hour Famine' fund-raising efforts.
