Icehouse Eases Info. Flow
Icehouse Eases Info. Flow
A restructuring at The
ICEHOUSE will give businesses better access to expert advice
and greater assistance in overcoming obstacles to
growth.
ICEHOUSE CEO Andy Hamilton says halving the size of the board and creating two new advisory boards to work more closely with companies is likely to improve the two-way flow of information between companies and advisory board members.
The two advisory boards will focus on startup companies and growth.
"We have an awesome wealth of experience within the ICEHOUSE partners, many of whom now sit on the advisory boards. This is one way of unlocking that information from within the university and in businesses in the public and private sector and getting it into the hearts and minds of companies who are actively looking at ways to grow and create wealth," he says.
The new ICEHOUSE board comprises Barry Spicer, Dean of the Business School; Wendell Dunn, Foundation Chair in Entrepreneurship (both from the University of Auckland); Dave Tapper of the Boston Consulting Group; Mike Skilling from the BNZ and the Chair, David Irving.
The ICEHOUSE is a business accelerator attached to the University of Auckland's business school; helping companies during startup phase in its incubator, through to assisting SME owners and managers accelerate growth.
