Massey Students to protest largest fee increase in New Zealand

Students at Massey University will tomorrow [Friday 1st October, 2004] be protesting against the proposed fee rise at Massey University before the University Council meets. Massey is proposing the largest fee increase possible for Undergraduate students under New Zealand legislation.

“Students are furious that the University plans to make students pay even more in 2005” stated Adam Maynard, President of the Massey University Students’ Association.

“Students will be vigorously protesting the fee proposal and we hope the University Council will listen to students concerns and not increases fees for 2005”
