Terminate Truancy 2005
Terminate Truancy 2005
The CEPNZ in the only commercial enterprise dedicated to supply and coordinating resources to terminate truancy in New Zealand society.
Terminate Truancy 2005 is the latest campaign of the CEPNZ to see this happen.
We invite all local councils, business associations, truancy officers, police, social services, schools and concerned citizens to play an active part in this campaign. Using the Truancy resources developed by the CEPNZ in 2003, we can all work together to ensure that ALL children are in school during school hours so that they all have the opportunity to learn and succeed in life and eliminate daytime juvenile crime and substance abuse.
Every child that is on the streets is the son or daughter of a fellow New Zealander. These parents have the responsibility to ensure that they observe the law by enrolling their child in a registered educational establishment and also ensure that they attend school.
Although the Government has spent millions of dollars on truancy initiatives around the country, many regions have been either left to fend for themselves or have simply not had access to reasonable resources.
This void has been filled by the CEPNZ. We are the first and only private enterprise to develop an online truancy reporting system and online truancy register to assist schools. Our Truancy Resource Pack provides all the resources needed by any school or community to terminate truancy and we would like to supply ALL schools and districts with these resources and give our assistance to the establishing of truancy-free zones around ALL shopping areas.
As the CEPNZ does not receive financial assistance from the Government or any Community Trust to carry out its operations, schools have had to used their over burdened Operations grants to purchase our truancy resources. To date, 145 schools have made this purchase, 97 have gained access through our Character Education Programme and 79 have been given it for free by the CEPNZ. This makes a current total of 321 schools with our resources.
The CEPNZ can not afford to supply all schools and communities with access to these resources for free and therefore we ask the community to help our schools and help our children by becoming financially involved and committed to the Terminate Truancy 2005 campaign.
If you would like to support this venture and get the children back in school and off the streets by establishing truancy free zones in your area and supplying all your local schools with access to these resources, fill out the form or read more at: www.sipro.co.nz/terminate.html
