Good news – crackdown on speed around schools
A crackdown on speed around schools has been given the thumbs up by Barnardos New Zealand.
“It’s great to see this police campaign which actively promotes the safety of our children,” says Barnardos New Zealand’s Chief Executive Murray Edridge.
“Children are precious. They are also incredibly vulnerable when it comes to road safety. So, good on the police for making this a priority.”
“Drivers have all the power when it comes to road safety. To all those behind the wheel, forget saving time, think about children first and slow down, look out and take exceptional care when on the roads, particularly around schools and early childhood centres.”
