Student job market just a click away
It has never been easier for employers to plug into the student job market, as employers join the on-line rush to Student Job Search.
Since launching its new website that allows job listings and students to join and enroll on-line, Student Job Search has experienced a dramatic increase in on-line traffic. This time last year, www.sjs.co.nz had 47 jobs listed via the online channel, now it has 3,100 listed on-line.
"The success of www.sjs.co.nz has been phenomenal," says CEO, Dean Carroll.
"www.sjs.co.nz is currently the third busiest employment site in New Zealand.”(AC Nielsen Net Ratings November).
"Demand from employers is particularly strong in the Auckland region with 50% of jobs listed on-line and growing. Nationally the on-line jobs registrations is running at around 30 to 35% and increasing”, he says.
Further enhancements are planed to be phased our over the next 6 months, with increasing demands for further transactional activity being demanded by both employers and students.
“On-line provision of jobs is also a natural fit with our 18-to-24 year-old demographic” says Mr Carroll.
“There has never been a better time for employers with one-off, part-time or full-time work to list their jobs with Student Job Search."
“In addition to our traditional jobs, we are also attracting a huge amount of quality and course related work. Employers who want to help students with their first career move should visit www.sjs.co.nz” Mr Carroll concluded.
Student Job Search is a non-profit organisation owned by Student Associations from around the country, and operates a network of offices on all the main University campuses. Its office locations include Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Wellington, and Dunedin; with a further two all year round offices in Tauranga and Hawke's Bay.
