Wintec Connects With One of the World’s Top MBA Programmes
Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec) is working with Henley Management College’s New Zealand Associate to provide easy access to one of the world’s top rated MBA programmes from 2007.
The Henley Executive Full-Time MBA programme is ranked 1st in the world for ‘Personal Development and Educational Experience’, 2nd in the world for ‘Potential to Network’ and 3rd in the world for ‘Increase in Salary’ by the influential Economist Intelligence Unit 2006
More than 5000 students worldwide are currently undertaking Henley Executive MBA studies in over 100 countries. More than 120 New Zealand executives have completed their degrees.
The majority of students are aged between 30 – 45 years and those accepted are expected to have a first degree and at least three years management experience.
It is estimated that around 1200 total study hours are required to complete the programme equating to approximately 10-12 hours per week.
The Henley Executive MBA is built around projects that students are undertaking, or can undertake for their current employers.
Wintec CEO Mark Flowers said one of the key features of the programme was the building of relationships through web interaction involving a range of students and tutors from all over the world.
“The quality and international aspects of the Henley Executive MBA fit well with Wintec’s internationalisation vision for the region and consequently have been strong drivers in Wintec ensuring that the Henley Executive MBA is available to be studied locally” he said.
Mr. Flowers said that if the student ceased study after two years, they would exit with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. If a student relocated overseas during a three year study period they can continue their studies study because Henley Executive MBA operates in many other countries. Cost for the three year programme is $36,000, payable in three instalments of $12,000 per annum.
