Open Polytechnic of New Zealand students win prizes

The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand is celebrating the achievement of three of its legal executive students whose top marks for 2006 saw them each win prizes from the New Zealand Law Society.

The students achieved the highest results in two of the six examinations that make up the New Zealand Law Society Legal Executive Course, with two Open Polytechnic students sharing the top prize for Introduction to the Legal System, with the third student achieving the top mark in Introduction to Law Office Practice.

The students will each receive a prize of $150 from the New Zealand Law Society for their outstanding efforts.

Each year students from eight different tertiary providers from around the country sit one or more of the examinations that make up the Legal Executive Course.

The winning students studied by distance learning with The Open Polytechnic and came from Auckland, Tauranga and Oamaru.
