NorthTec awards three Future Trades scholarships
Media release: NorthTec awards three Future Trades scholarships for 2010
NorthTec has awarded three Future Trades scholarships for 2010.
The scholarships were available for students wishing to study specific programmes at NorthTec’s purpose-built trades training facility Future Trades, in Whangarei. The scholarships cover each recipient’s tuition fees for 2010.
NorthTec had initially intended to award two Future Trades scholarships but made the decision to offer three due to the high quality of applicants.
“We are delighted with the quality and number of applications we received for the NorthTec Future Trades scholarships,” said NorthTec’s Director- Student Success, Lynda Mathey. “We look forward to welcoming the three recipients to our Future Trades campus in 2010.”
Two of the three scholarships have been awarded to Kaitaia College students - Reece Adams (to study for the National Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4) at NorthTec’s purpose-built trades training facility - Future Trades - in Whangarei) and Waahi Pukeroa (to study for the National Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Level 3), also at Future Trades).
The third scholarship recipient is Joseph Going from Whangarei Boys High School. Joseph has been awarded a scholarship to study for the National Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Level 3) at Future Trades.
