‘No Fees’ helping hand offered to
Marlborough Business Administration students
Nelson
Marlborough Institute of Technology is offering a one-off
‘No Fees’ option for the next intake on the Certificate
in Business Administration Level 3, only at its Marlborough
Campus.
NMIT Programme Area Leader Business Services, Mary-Claire Proctor says they’ve initiated the move as a boost for Marlborough.
“We’re hearing from the community that businesses have been hit hard recently. We hope that this gesture will help those who want to get into a business administration role to make that transition as easily as possible.”
Students who enrol for the July 25th intake of the Level 3 certificate at NMIT Marlborough won’t have to pay study fees that would usually amount to around $3000. The only fees they’ll have to pay will be their workbook and printing costs plus the student services levy and a student association fee.
Mary-Claire Proctor says that’s a huge incentive to upskill and a great opportunity.
“Now’s the perfect time for school leavers or anyone who is considering re-entering the workforce to get the basic skills to become an administrator. The removal of study fees means they can save a substantial amount, and after 20 weeks have a qualification that will help them move into employment.”
Entry is over to anyone 20 years of age and over or if under 20, NCEA Level 1 is required.
The Business Administration Level 3 Certificate is what is needed to enter the workforce.
Mary-Claire says it’s a unique course.
“Part of the training they do is in our business centre. It’s set up exactly like an office so they are learning in an environment that directly relates to a real office situation. That’s a big advantage and something that’s special to this course.”
