A fitting end to a memorable year

The December graduation ceremony will see over 800 students graduating from Whitireia New Zealand.

On Friday 16 December 2011 a graduation ceremony will take place at Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua. The ceremony at 1pm will see diploma and certificate level students from the Faculty of Business, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Health, Faculty of Service Industries, Te Wānanga Māori and Faculty of Trades graduating from their programmes of study and having an opportunity to celebrate their success.

The ceremony is very much a community event that will see a number of families attend in support of students and friends. The guest speaker at this graduation ceremony is Ken Harris, Chief Executive, Employers Chamber of Commerce Central.

Whitireia are proud of every student graduating. “We seek to provide students with a solid foundation in which to build careers in the profession and industries they have chosen and to foster an interest in life-long learning” said Don Campbell, Whitireia Chief Executive.

“Graduation ceremonies are a highlight of the Whitireia academic calendar. They are a celebration of the success of our students, it’s important that we recognise this and celebrate and honour achievements” he said.

The graduation will be a fitting end to a full year of celebrations for Whitireia, as it winds up its 25 year celebrations.
