Blues to take time out for Unitec Run & Walk event on Sunday

25 June 2012

Blues to take time out for Unitec Run & Walk event this Sunday

Blues players will play the part of ‘hydration and support specialists’ for participants in the first event in the Unitec Run & Walk series of events this Sunday (1 July).

On the sidelines to cheer on the hundreds of runners and walkers taking part in the event will be Blues players Chris Lowrey, Angus Ta'avao and Charlie Faumuina.

The Unitec Run & Walk series of events is the official lead-up series to the adidas Auckland Marathon in October – but it’s open to runners and walkers of all fitness levels, from age seven. Participants don’t have to be entering the marathon – but it’s great preparation if they are.

What: Blues players Chris Lowrey, Angus Ta'avao and Charlie Faumuina support participants in Unitec Run & Walk event
Where: Unitec, Carrington Road, Mt Albert
When: From 9.00 a.m. – 10.30 a.m. Sunday 1 July, 2012
