Media Release
The New Zealand Homebased Early Childhood Education Association is today delighted to launch their new look website www.hbca.org.nz along with the shortened easy to use version of the organisation name.
Carol Stovold, the president of the NZHECEA says that this has been a work in progress to redevelop a website that had more functionality and was user friendly to the general public and the organisations members. “The main aim of the new website is to improve communications both internally and externally” says Ms Stovold. “Having the new website with many more functions will enable the Association, which is staffed by volunteers, to respond more rapidly to growing demands for its advice, support and advocacy for quality provision of Homebased Early Childhood Education.”
Ms Stovold, a member of the Minister of Educations Cross Sector Education Forum, says that “It is a great delight to the Association, that families looking for Homebased childcare, and wanting to choose a service that belongs to widely representative professional Homebased ECE organisation, will now be able to look up on our website and make choices from providers in their region.”
The Homebased Childcare Association has been representing the individual viewpoints of educators, coordinators, staff and management of Homebased ECE services for over 25 years and has membership representation from over 67 organisations who provide Homebased ECE throughout New Zealand.
