Gifted Awareness Week with Gifted Kids Northern Waiora

Celebrating Gifted Awareness Week with Gifted Kids Northern Wairoa


To help celebrate Gifted Awareness Week, Gifted Kids Northern Wairoa class will be taking to the streets of Dargaville to show the community what they know.

Gifted Kids students will share the message of Gifted Awareness Week through spending two hours in the community talking to locals about their work. Students will each wear a sign that says "Come and talk to me about...” and will answer questions about the student’s passion or talent.

Also on display in the main street will be recent art work and written work.

When: Tuesday 18th June & Wednesday 19th June, 10am-12pm
Where: Near Westpac Bank, Victoria Street, Dargaville.

Gifted Awareness Week is celebrated in New Zealand from 17th-23rd June to draw attention to gifted people and the nature of giftedness.

This year Gifted Kids are holding several gifted awareness events, projects and activities throughout the country to highlight the need to educate and advocate the importance of gifted education in New Zealand.
